Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Providing services in Monroe, Wayne, Pike, and Lackawanna counties, this position is responsible coordinating, developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating Individual Support Plans and behavior plans.
More about the role: Responsible for assessing and monitoring individual's progress and growth in areas of functional skills, personal needs, communication, pre-vocational, job training, and personal adjustment. Serves as an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team providing direction, mentorship, training, and support to staff in the implementation of individual support plans, behavior plans and/or restrictive plans. Serves as role model for peers and individuals and a liasion to families, funders, and case managers as indicated. Ensures age appropriate programs and activities are implemented and monitors for effectiveness.

Program Specialist : Master's degree in education, social sciences and/or related health field with 1 year experience working with individuals with IDD OR Bachelor's degree in the above stated fields with 2 years experience OR Associate's degree with 4 years experience. Experience in a residential treatment setting preferred.
Behavior Specialist: Master's degree or higher in a related field of study. Completed relevant education and training programs, including but not limited to professional ethics, autism specific trainings, assessments training, crisis intervention, and family collaboration. At least one year of experience involving individuals with intellectual disabilities. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver’s license must be maintained.
