Responsibilities:
- Build out and execute JDays After School Program’s overall strategy, with a laser-sharp focus on growing the program and enriching the lives of our participants, counselors, and their families.
- Create and maintain special needs programming throughout the academic year for children of all abilities.
- Lead the Team in designing, delivering, and evaluating content to ensure that it exceeds the needs and interests of our campers.
- Manage the daily operations of aftercare, including administration, participant care, and staff supervision.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with children, parents, and vendors for all Youth Services through interactions, parent emails, phone calls, e-blasts, online presence, school visits, meet and greets, and community outreach.
- Launch dynamic, content-rich youth-focused programming, ensuring that our young people have ways of connecting to one another, and to the J year-round.
- Manage the overall budget for the Special Needs and Aftercare programs.
- Oversee grant compliance requirements, ensure reporting deadlines are met, and attend all mandatory training.
- College degree and proven leadership and management experience.
- At least three years of leadership experience in an after-school program setting, working with both children and staff.
- Experience with and openness to relate to people of all backgrounds, knowledge, and observance levels.
- Good computer skills - with emphasis on Microsoft Office, Camp-Minder, and CCC.
- Highly organized, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
