Program Planning & Control (PP&C) Division Manager
Job description
ARES has an exciting opportunity for a Program Planning & Control (PP&C) Division Manager supporting Artemis Exploration Ground Systems. Artemis is NASA’s mission to send astronauts to the moon by 2025 and in the next few years we will assist NASA in achieving this goal. ARES KLXS contract provides direct programmatic, engineering, operations, & test support at the Kennedy Space Center through 2027. This opportunity is for a dynamic manager who will manage 40 personnel and multiple customer relationships and service offerings in PP&C disciplines including schedule, budget, configuration management, SharePoint development, and risk management. The successful candidate will have demonstrated management experience in NASA service contracts, deep knowledge of the PP&C disciplines, excellent communication, organization, and teambuilding skills.
Job Duties
- Typical responsibilities include staffing, personnel management, requirements management, performance management, product and deliverable development, and achieving high customer satisfaction. Manager is required to manage employee work schedules to meet mission requirements, including providing employees for operations 24/7 when required.
- Key attributes for success in this position are strong communication skills with customers, employees, peers, manager, and corporate. The candidate must be a problem solver with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. A strong command of personnel practices is imperative.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Must have five years direct administrative management experience of at least 10 people and demonstrated success and customer/employee recommendations
- Must have direct experience at NASA Center, and preferably Kennedy Space Center
- Must have a Bachelors degree in business or engineering fields
- A PMI Project Management Personnel certification is highly desired
