The Programmer Analyst is responsible for the technical implementation and/or support for large scale/complex projects, along with developing software functionality that meets customer needs and design specifications. Attention to quality of coding and testing is critical.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently with minimum direction after initial training. This individual will have experience in full project lifecycle from design to support, client/server environment and source code control systems. Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed design documentation to agreed quality standards
- Comply with coding standards and code reviewing
- Design and implement interfaces to customer enterprise applications
- Produce detailed module/system test plans and provide documentary evidence of testing activity
- Identifies requirements and assists customers/users with development of requirements specification
- Design and development of customizations around WMS Applications
- Analyze clients’ business and design solution for customization. Participate in sessions with clients to understand their goals and targets
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance for customers and K2S analysts
- Ensure compliance with WMS best practices and maintenance of objective proof of compliance
Technical Skill Requirements:
- “C” knowledge of programming language, compiling and debugging
- Java language knowledge (J2SE/J2SEE standards)
- Experience with MOCA highly desirable
- Oracle knowledge and ability to write complex SQL queries, PL/SQL code, and experience using SQL *PLUS, SQL Developer or TOAD
- UNIX knowledge of commands and text editors (eg RedHat, LINUX, AIX, HP-UX) and experience writing UNIX scripts is desirable
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science or technology related field
- 3+ years of direct development experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) – JDA/RedPrairie/Blue Yonder WMS Preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain solutions and in particular, Warehouse Management systems (WMS)
- Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly, verbally and in writing (e.g. design / test documentation)
- Fluency in English
