The Company:

Our client is a top industrial company that has been servicing the Houston area for over 50 years. They strive to achieve customer expectations safely, profitably and in a manner that is rewarding for both their customers and their team. They are looking for a full-time temp to hire Project Accountant to join their team for $25-$27/hr. This position is located in the Pasadena area.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate would have extensive project accounting experience and would preferably have experience working with an industrial company. They would have an advanced knowledge in Excel and would be able to use pivot tables and V-Lookups.

The Expectations:

• Provide updates on a weekly basis for status of revenue accruals.
• Coordinate with PM and management team to review P&L for billing completion/costs during the end of month pre-billing meeting.
• Review actual vs budget during the project and inquire on variances.
• Review open purchase orders on a monthly basis with project managers.
• Schedule and coordinate pre-construction meetings for projects meeting a certain threshold.
• Prepare financial reports for projects that were completed in the month. Provide analysis and explanation on variances against budgets.
• Review Work in Progress schedules as required, and coordinate updates of changes.
• Provide weekly updates for collections to accounting management team.
• Sign off respective tasks on the month end accounting checklist.

The Experience and Education:

• Project accounting experience
• Intermediate Excel experience
• AR experience
