Project Architect (Commercial)
Expanding architecture firm in New Orleans is searching for a Project Architect with 5-10 years of commercial architecture experience to join their collaborative team.
Reports to: Associates / C.O.O.
Primary Responsibilities:
They are looking for a highly motivated, design-oriented person who can think critically, technically, and holistically about all aspects of architectural project delivery. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded, collaborative, and motivated team player who can work quickly and efficiently, multi-tasking and managing projects on a day-to-day level. It will also be essential for the candidate to adhere to project budgets, work within the contracted design fees, and maintain staffing resources throughout the process.
The position will involve participation at all levels of the design process, including:
- Conceptual/Schematic design: graphic presentations and renderings, document production.
- Design Development/CDs: drafting, detailing, product and code research, building systems/engineering coordination, document production, management and support as needed.
- Bidding/CA: RFI and submittal review, coordination, document production management and support as needed.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Professional degree from a NAAB-accredited architecture program.
- Revit is a must, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Indesign, Rhino is a plus.
- Registration preferred (RA). Strong candidates who are currently working towards registration will be seriously considered.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 9am - 6pm & Friday 8am – 12pm. Onsite – A hybrid arrangement may be considered following a 90-day probationary period. Travel: Project-Specific
Compensation:
Base Salary: $75,000 – $105,000 (based on experience/registration status)
Bonuses: Twice a year merit-based (Yearly total avgs. $8,000-$12,000)
