Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Project Coordinator Facilities to join our dedicated Facilities team in this onsite position at our Cambridge City, IN site.

The Starting Pay: $65,000 - $75,000, exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

The Role:

The Project Coordinator Facilities is an important part of the Taconic Biosciences team and Facilities department. They will manage expense and capital facilities design and construction projects for the Cambridge City site. With a continues and process improvement mindset, and utilizing their skill and experience, the Project Coordinator Facilities will identify and implement new technology and upgrades to buildings, facilities, production and lab equipment and systems, to improve processes and efficiency throughout Taconic. Collaborating with respective team members, this role will participate in compliance audits of facilities systems and areas. They will be responsible for providing training to Facilities staff on Facilities SOP's and quality standards, ensuring all are being maintained and followed. The Project Coordinator Facilities will also provide technical support and guidance on equipment and systems as needed. An ability to adapt to changing situations as they arise, collaborate openly, and be a successful self-starter will be important for this position.

Duties of the Project Coordinator Facilities include the following:

  • Manage Facilities projects at home sites. Includes initial project scoping and justification, bid/award process, design, construction and successful startup and transfer to sustaining owner.
  • Manage contractors to meet schedule, scope, budget, and EHS and other regulatory requirements for work performed.
  • Create and keep current internal SOPs and programs for assigned areas.
  • Responsible for creating and delivering training for facilities staff.
  • Confirm facility systems meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and prepare regulatory reports for Manager.
  • Assist with internal and external compliance audits.
  • Review and monitor current processes and identify new processes/equipment to optimize efficiency.
  • Support team members in the development of new processes to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Improve Preventative Maintenance procedures throughout Facilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree from a two-year college or technical school with a focus on Facilities Systems (HVAC, Electrical, Controls), or Technical/Managerial experience in an equivalent position
  • Degree in Project Management or equivalent experience in Project Management
  • Valid driver’s license is required for driving of Taconic vehicles
  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience and/or training
  • Ability to write reports, procedural instructions, and policies
  • Ability to interpret State and Government regulations and develop training guides from them
  • Experience with computers and using different programs
  • Ability to educate oneself on different pieces of equipment
  • Ability to work within a team environment and become a problem solver and recommend solutions
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization both internally and externally

Physical Demands:

  • Some physical exertion is required such as long periods of standing, recurring bending and lifting, and/or lifting of items up to 25 pounds.
