Overview
Ensure day-to-day operation of the Las Cruces contracts including grounds and custodial maintenance in accordance with the policies and practices of Tresco, laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations (IAW the contract.
Responsibilities
1. This position requires that the employee read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
2. This position requires the employee to operate a computer and required software effectively and efficiently including typing, navigation, and interpretation of electronic data, including Microsoft Office Suite.
3. Monitor performance requirements to ensure contract performance is acceptable at all times.
4. Serve as the point of contact with the Contracting officer Representative (COR) for performance of all work performed under the contract.
5. Help control all cost associated with the contract. Ensure that all expenditures to include supplies, labor and special services stay within the parameters of the funded contract amount.
6. Prepare detailed cost estimates for Task Order work requests.
7. Possess and use diplomatic skills in conducting operations with government counterpart, customers, and employee relations.
8. Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings unless excused by supervisor.
9. Accept and implement special assignments from supervisor.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES. Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education. Associates degree in Business Administration, or related field.
Experience. minimum three years’ experience in management of custodial and grounds operations, cost tracking/ expenditure records and reports, and schedules related to Government contract activities and budgeting, and minimum three years in a position of responsibility with three of those years in a progressive supervisory position.
Licenses/Certifications. Must have valid driver’s license. International Association of Assessing Officer (IAAO) Certification (course 101) is required within one year of hire.
Other (e.g., post-offer drug screen, background check, driver’s license record, etc.). All employees must undergo a driver’s license record check; classified employees must pass a background check.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:
1. Bilingual skills are not required but are beneficial.
2. Diplomatic skills in conducting operations with customers and employee relations.
3. Ability to identify and resolve concerns and conflict.
4. Ability to facilitate meetings.
5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
6. Demonstrate ability to maintain purposeful relationship in crisis situations and skill in conflict resolution.
7. Ability to work independently and with a team.
8. General knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance systems to complete work assignments.
9. Demonstrated basic cost accounting tracking skills.
Rate of Pay: $50,000 - $55,000 DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with flexible weekends.
