General Description:
Tolin Mechanical, an established, well recognized and respected HVAC service contractor, is looking for an experienced Project Manager I to join our Phoenix Branch. We are seeking a candidate who meets the qualifications listed below.
Our Project Managers play a pivotal role in redeeming project unit gross profit objectives through subordinate organization, while meeting contractual commitments to customers in a timely, high-quality manner.
Responsibilities for Project Manager I
- Manage project executions and project redemption of assigned projects.
- Manage projects without much assistance from superiors.
- Sufficiently provide project communication internally for the field, internally for the finance department, and externally for our customers and subcontractors
- Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
- Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
- Manage and control equipment and material utilization, scheduling, and cost.
- Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
- Conducts risk assessments and reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
- Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
- Settling open disputes and claims with customers.
- Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
- Provides customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Documentation and status reporting.
- Internal company relations and partnership.
- External relations with outside vendors and customers.
- Requisition, negotiate, and audit subcontracts.
- Quoting and selling changes in the work.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
- 3 + years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent project management skills
- Values and displays exceptional customer service
- Strong organization skills
- Experience in HVAC, construction, engineering, or related industry
- Experience and demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal departments, vendors, and customers
- PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Over 18 years of age
- High School diploma or GED
- Bachelor s degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, required.
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing
Compensation & Benefits:
Average Starting Salary: $65,000-$85,000 annually. Combined experience, education, skills and knowledge will be taken into consideration.
