We have an exciting opprtunity to join the Edwards team to execute a project to establish a new Product Company in the USA that will meet the demand for new products and syetems for our semiconductor customers in North America over the next 10 to 15 years.


Project kingfisher will build a state of the art 24,000 sqm dry pump manufacturing facility at the WNY STAMP site near Batavia in upstate New York. Build to commence is soon as possible in Q1 2023 with a planned completion date of Q2 2024. This new manufacturing facility is to house a machine shop, assembly hall and a warehouse facility capable of producing up to 20,000 dry pumps for the North American market.

his is a two-year mission to lead multiple project workstreams to set up the new Kingfisher manufacturing facility and establish the new Product Company. The Project Manager will drive all aspects of the project required to deliver a fully functioning facility working in close harmony with the other workstream leaders and the Kingfisher project management office. The job holder will report to the Program Manager for the duration of this two-year term and work closely with the engineering team based in Cheonan South Korea. The role will initially be based in our Sanborn Distribution centre which is close to the WNY STAMP location. As the build progresses it is anticipated that the role will locate on site in WNY STAMP. The job holder will be expected to be based in New York State.


Key accountabilities of the role are

  • Direct and control the building construction, fit out facility, operating ERP system, and HR workstream to ensure that they are completed to the standards required within agreed time scales and the agreed budget

  • Assist in the coordination of project to ensure that local registrations and company standards for the environmental, health and safety.

  • Coordinate project across the “AVI Division”, “Local project team” and “Manufacturing technology transfer team” to determine project objectives and timescale and to ensure all objective are met within agreed timescale and budget

  • Maintain regular contact with external contractors to define the scope of projects and the resulting implementation plan.

  • Develop project plan with defining critical gate’s deliverables and cost budget

  • Identify the resources required at each project gate to meet project objectives

  • Monitor and report on project progress in a structured manner, drawing particular attention to deviation from the original plan.

  • Leading project workstream meeting regular base

  • Maintain and update the project plan.

  • Direct and control the project workstreams to ensure that they achieve their objectives and that the best possible use in made of available staff resources

Review all project and modify performance measure as necessary

Education level

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in science or engineering or equivalent experience.


Relevant Previous experience (minimum years of experience to competently carry out the role, not total year of experience)

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience managing large project teams in a technical service or equivalent operations function.


Knowledge areas/Skills (minimum level of knowledge to fullfil the role’s responsibilities)

  • Experiance in manufacuring related proejct

  • Proven ability to manage change in processes and organizations.

  • Evidence of an analytical approach using qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques.

  • Experienced in employee development and employee relations management with managerial, professional, technician and semi-skilled personnel.

  • Familiarity with Semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes.

  • Familiarity with engineering organization practices, disciplines, systems, and software tools an advantage.

  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.


Other requirements (e.g. Language skills; competencies; expected travel requirements)

  • Excellent communication and administrative skills.

  • Fluency in verbal/written English essential.
