Position Summary

The Property Preservation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the properties are inspected and preserved in accordance with statutory compliance, regulatory compliance, and company guidelines. This position is responsible for managing property preservation vendor(s) that are fulfilling tasks based on established service level agreements in accordance with established work rules, goals & objectives to ensure properties are inspected and preserved within regulatory requirements. The candidate will be expected to establish/maintain a culture of team collaboration, accountability, operational excellence, and unwavering commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of insurer requirements as it relates to property inspection and preservation.
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators and service level agreements in-line with insurer requirements.
  • Ensure property inspections are completed in accordance with state, federal, and agency guidelines.
  • Ensure properties are secured and maintained in accordance with state, federal and agency guidelines.
  • Collaborate with property preservation vendor(s) to achieve HUD conveyance condition within insurer requirements.
  • Review and approve property preservation bids for repair as applicable.
  • Partner with City/County/ HOA/Vendor to resolve violations.
  • Ensure the vendor is registering properties in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
  • Review applicable reports to ensure preservation inspections/preservation are being completed timely and accurately.
  • Oversight of the Property Preservation Vendor(s) through constant communication regarding performance.
  • Notify management of all potential high risk matters that pose a risk to the company or investor
  • Follow departmental and business policies with strict adherence
  • Prioritize allocated work to ensure timely and accurate resolution to both external and internal partners
  • Perform related duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 2+ Years Mortgage Servicing Experience

  • Minimum 2+ Years Property Preservation Experience
  • Knowledge of basic computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Requires an extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, including ability to effectively coach, motivate, and lead staff.
