The Renfrew Center of Mt Laurel, NJ and Params, NJ has an opportunity for a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Position Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the psychiatric assessment, treatment, and disposition of eating disorder patients in the day treatment and intensive outpatient programs.

· Provide leadership in clinical emergencies including safety assessment, crisis intervention, and psychopharmacological management.

· Conduct peer reviews with managed care companies as needed, advocating for appropriate lengths of stay and levels of care.

· Effectively utilize all resources including the family, supports and other providers.

· Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary treatment team and act as the interface between the medical and psychological aspects of assessment and care.

· Participate in the education of Renfrew Staff, providers, and interns.

Education, Competencies and Credentials:

· Must have a current CRNP or ARNP in New Jersey, with specialization in Psychiatry.

· Previous experience working with patients with eating disorders and/or addictions preferred.

Hours: 40 hours per week (time is split between the two sites)
