Currently we have two full-time vacancies (Bilingual Spanish Required), and 2 extra-help vacancies.
The clinician will provide specialized mental health services to families with children ages 0-5 involved in the Child Welfare System. Multiple risk factors may be present including substance abuse, trauma and out of home placement. Principle duties will include, court ordered mental health assessments, individual/family and dyadic therapy, crisis intervention, case management, collaboration and coordination with the Child Welfare System and other involved services. Partners for Safe and Healthy Children, part of the Prenatal to Three Initiative is a field-based program which includes a combination of clinic, home and community visits to the population served.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience/interest in delivering behavioral health services to ages 0-5 and their families
- Clear and consistent boundaries with all clients and providers
- Solid clinical treatment, assessment, diagnostic and evaluation skills working with children ages 0-5 and their families
- Knowledge of principles, techniques and trends in counseling, psychotherapy, clinical case management, crisis management, as well as trauma-informed evidence-based practices
- Experience/interest in conducting assessments, individual and family therapy
- Solid documentation skills: progress notes, assessments, client care plans, etc.
- Ability to work with a broad range of clients from diverse cultures and backgrounds, and an ability to provide bilingual and culturally appropriate and proficient services
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with adolescents, young adults, their families, co-workers, other professionals, collaborative partners, and the public
Minimum qualifications include:
Licensure/Certification
- Psychiatric Social Worker I: Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker. An individual hired in this classification must become licensed within three years from the date of employment as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the State of California.
- Psychiatric Social Worker II: Current California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- Marriage & Family Therapist I: Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. An individual hired in this classification must become licensed within three years from the date of employment as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California.
- Marriage & Family Therapist II: Current California license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Education and Experience
- Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is a Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare or a closely related field.
SALARY
Psychiatric Social Worker I/Marriage & Family Therapist I:
$41.88 - $52.37 Hourly
$87,110.40 - $108,929.60 Annually
Psychiatric Social Worker II/Marriage & Family Therapist II:
$47.10 - $58.90 Hourly
$97,968.00 - $122,512.00 Annually
