JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for running mechanical punch presses ranging from 10 tons to 150 tons. A punch press operator ensures their machines are working at full capacity and stocked with needed materials. He/She also performs periodic checks on output, examining the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.

Winco Stamping incorporates a tiered program in which machine operators have the opportunity for growth based on performance and meeting key metrics.

Hours: 7 am - 4pm with a paid 1/2 hour lunch

Starting wage for new operators: $13.00

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with production needs.

• Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions.
• Records quantity of parts produced, material issued, and any scrap for each job.
• Inspects parts at machine using gauges when applicable.
• Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner to include returningtools to designated areas.
• Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
• Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and/or personal injuries.
• Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

SPECIFICATIONS

Required

• Effective oral communication skills

• Proven organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach, climb, crawl, balance, move skids with a pallet jack, pack and unpack, and stand/remain active for 8 hours
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and general policies

Preferred

• Math Skills including: multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction
• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior manufacturing experience
• Competent computer skills including: data entry, software navigation, and web-portal use
