Position: Purchasing Coordinator

DH/CTH/Contract: DH

Location/Remote: Tecumseh, MI (Radius to search within- Toledo, Ohio to Ann Arbor, MI to Jackson, MI

Start Date: Immediately

Keys:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a business environment
  • Computer skills – highly skilled in Excel and MRP systems and efficient data entry skills.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible work experience
  • Previous experience with ISO desired
  • APICS CPIM Certification expected within 18 months of hire

Position summary

Ervin Technologies is the rapidly growing manufacturing and development center for Ervin Industries, a global corporation and the worldwide leader in steel abrasives. The division operates as a high tech metal particle producer with diverse metallurgical manufacturing processes.

The Purchasing Coordinator oversees accounts payable, purchasing, inventory, cost control, vendor development and outside services. The following functions are included but are not limited to: competitive quotes, ordering, data entry, supplier evaluations, and purchasing contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Finance preferred and/or equivalent combination of work experience and education
  • Excellent math, verbal, and written skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in a business environment
  • Computer skills – highly skilled in Excel and MRP systems and efficient data entry skills.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible work experience
  • Previous experience with ISO desired
  • APICS CPIM Certification expected within 18 months of hire

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
