Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 am -4:00 pm), occasional overtime may be required.

We directly impact patients’ lives by providing testing to ensure their biologic pharmaceuticals are safe and effective by providing moderately complex analyses in a laboratory environment according to defined procedures and practices. We perform physical and chemical testing on raw materials that support manufacturing operations while maintaining detailed documentation of testing, reviewing data, and communicating test results.
A Day in the Life
- Testing of pharmaceutical raw materials by internal and compendial test methods
- Recognize and report out-of-specification or unexpected results to laboratory management; recommend solutions. Write investigation records in TrackWise system.
- Performs daily instrument calibrations / verifications as required.
- Records and reports results of analysis in accordance with prescribed lab procedures and systems. Assists in preparing regulatory documents and other communications with outside agencies, clients, and/or colleagues from other corporate sites. Write SOPs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, instrumentation, and testing materials.
- Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and workspace as needed.
- Clearly and accurately communicate the results of work by real-time documentation of the testing/analysis and acquired results.
- Communicate with outside departments, corporate sites, agencies, and clients.
- Perform all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines. Maintain the necessary compliance status required by company and facility standards.
- Author SOP's, test methods, forms, and other documents in the electronic document management system (eDMS). Review and revise test methods and other lab documents as necessary. Review departmental documentation (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, TMs, and forms).
- Interact with auditors/clients during visits and tours as needed.

Keys to Success:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, i.e. Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology (Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered)
Experience
- Proven understanding of scientific principles for wide range of qualitative and quantitative chemical analytical techniques and analysis strongly preferred
- Ability to apply mathematical operations, to such tasks as determination of test reliability, dilution calculations, molarity conversion, analysis of variance and correlation techniques.
- Knowledge of GMP regulations in cGMP manufacturing environment. (Experience in the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.)
- Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, including strong attention to detail.
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills. Able to communicate in English.
- Ability to analyze and summarize complex scientific data.
- Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, willing to learn, independent and a proactive driving force of efficient execution.
- Ability to work constructively on a team and adaptable to function in a changing environment
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, written and oral.
Work Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required including but not limited to lab coats, gloves, and eye protection as required.
- 80% Standing/Walking, able to stand for long periods, 20% Sitting at Desk/Office
- Exposure to fumes, chemicals, acids, and bases.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
