We are looking for an individual that is driven, goal oriented, and a team player. The Quality Assurance Manager leads the Company’s Quality and Food Safety commitment. This position is the point of contact for responsibilities of the in-house QA/QC Lab.

Quality Assurance Manager Role:

• Designated by senior management to develop, validate, verify and maintain the company’s Food Safety and Quality Plans, and assume control of the daily operation of the SQF System.
• Is responsible for the entire GFSI Program including the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan.
• Investigate to determine and resolve product quality issues.
• Isolation, identification of cause, and follow-up on non-compliant product.
• Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure all Food Safety and Quality aspects
• Understands the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing and the requirements to implement and maintain an SQF System relevant to the supplier scope of certification.
• Implement and maintain HACCP based food safety and food quality plans.
• Understand statistical process controls and/or other quality tools to reduce process variation and drive root cause analysis of non-conformities.
• Complete plant audits to monitor compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure that personnel have the required competencies to carry out those functions affecting product quality.
• Responsible for establishing and implementing the training needs of the organization’s personnel.
• Ensure job descriptions for those responsible for food safety and quality are documented and include provision to cover for the absence of key personnel.
• Validate changes to Food Safety and Food Quality Systems on an ongoing basis.
• Coordinate sanitation and housekeeping duties throughout the entire plant to ensure high standards

Quality Assurance Manager Profile:

• Must have a Bachelors’ Degree in related field.
• SQF certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of Food Safety and microbiology knowledge.
• Quality control experience, and knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Ability to analyze facts, problem solve and make good judgements.
• Skilled at planning, well-organized and can prioritize workload.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Drives change and continuous improvement, highly motivated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
