ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work assigned reports to correct items such as: eligibility issues, authorization denials, exhausted benefits and wrong payer plan selection
- Follow-up to ensure all actions are completed in order for account to be resolved.
- Continuously work to improve processes through technology or quality improvements.
- Lead special projects as time allow.
- Identify causes for non-payment and communicate problems and recommend corrective action to department heads.
- Organizes work/resources to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines
- Identify areas where additional education is needed and communicate to leadership.
- Must be team player and able to adapt to a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines.
- Other relevant functions as requested.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
High School diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or business office
- 1 year experience analyzing data
