Quality Control Inspector - Aerospace

Banner Metalcraft Inc is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector, for precision sheet metal and machining. The candidate will need to perform QC Inspections and checks during manufacture of products. Inspect material, parts and products at different stages of production; in-process, first piece and final inspections. Record inspection results.

Essential Functions:

• Identify and control all nonconforming products.
• Perform first piece and in process inspection of sheet metal / machined parts, weldments, and assemblies per mylars, blueprint, manufacturing plan, customer’s specifications and requirements.
• Document inspection results in accordance with company procedures, manufacturing plan, and any additional work instructions.
• Perform First Article Inspection to SAE AS9102 Standards and Customer’s requirements. Familiarity with net inspect quality management module is a plus.
• Final inspection of product as follows:
• Visual and dimensional inspection of end product to applicable Mylar's, blueprints, manufacturing plans, and Sales Order requirements.\
• Review data package traceability (material certifications, inspection reports, test reports, process certifications, etc.) as required by Quality System and Sales Order for legibility, completeness and to verify conformance to blueprint and Customer requirements.
• Ensure that First Article reports required by Sales Order are provided with the data package for the order.
• Verify that all operations required by the manufacturing plan are complete and properly signed off.
• Verify 1st Piece Inspection.
• Understanding and working knowledge of AS9100 (a plus)
• Computer Literate (MS office)
• Completion of any special Customer required forms or data package requirements.

Salary: Competitive based on experience, steady overtime is available.

Education:High School or equivalent, Trade school a plus

Experience:

· inspection experience within the defense/ aerospace manufacturing industry.

· Computer Literate (MS office)

· Proficiency in blueprint/schematic reading

· Romer Arm/PC- DMIS experience a plus

As an ITAR compliant company must be Eligible to work in the USA
