Job Description:
Our client is looking for a
Quality Control Technician to work in their manufacturing/distribution facility in Union, NJ. This is a long term temp position which has a possibility of becoming permanent.
Need for immediate availability.
Salary starts at $18.00/hour.
Monday-Friday 2p-10:30p, with ability to be flexible as needed in terms of overtime.
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for testing, sampling and inspection within the Quality Department.
Responsibilities include:
- Testing of food products and raw materials.
- Following strict regulatory and safety guidelines.
- Calibrate instruments and follow GMP’s.
- Assist with internal audits and keep a detailed lab notebook.
- Inspect the facility for regulatory compliance.
- Assist the team as needed with sanitation, inventory and housekeeping.
Qualifications:
- Experience performing quality testing in a food or beverage company highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required Associate’s or Technical degree in the sciences a plus.
- The ability to think and work independently, do basic math and communicate in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of food regulations like SQF, FSMA or HACCP.
