Moog Defense Group is the premier motion and flow control solutions provider for markets including missiles, turreted weapons systems, military ground vehicles, military radar, Naval vessels, and human-rated space vehicles. Emerging areas of focus include metal additive manufacturing, blockchain for supply chain, and sensor integration.

Our Defense team is looking for a Quality Engineer to join them. You will report to the Quality Control Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Orrville, Ohio.

To be considered for the Quality Engineer, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 3 Years of Experience, two of which must be in Quality Engineering
  • Problem solving skills, analysis techniques, process improvement studies, and development of new procedures
  • Knowledge of contracts, statistical methods, manufacturing, assembly, measurement, and test processes
  • Failure analysis and corrective action experience

As a Quality Engineer, you will:
  • Plan, implement, and administrate cost-effective quality programs to meet contractual quality requirements protecting Moog and its customers
  • Prepare quality proposals and related cost estimates
  • Participate in design reviews and make inputs to the design process
  • Develop inspection plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection for programs
  • Integrate inspection plans into receiving inspection instructions, manufacturing operation sheets, A&T worksheets, and other documentation
  • Communicate with customer, government, regulatory agency, and major subcontractor representatives resolving fabrication and field related problems
