As a Quality Inspector, you will support Propulsion Subsystem manufacturing, Receiving Inspection, Blanket Fabrication and other production activities at the Stennis Space Center, MS manufacturing facility.

As a successful team member, in this role you will be involved with a variety of responsibilities:
  • Build on necessary skills for quality inspection techniques, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, and identification of nonconforming hardware and support test activities
  • Perform all assigned tasks based on demonstrated, certified skills, and abilities
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to eliminate quality control issues
  • Prepare paper and electronic documentation on nonconforming hardware
  • This position will require working off shifts and non-standard work weeks as needed to meet product deliverables, including overtime as required

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience in a Quality Inspection/Assurance role in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
  • Experience using inspection tooling
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • High School Diploma
Desired Skills:
  • Experience using CMM, FARO arm, dial calipers, Rockwell hardness tester, microscope and various other inspection tools
  • Machine shop and/or mechanical hands on experience
  • Chemical coatings experience
  • Weld experience
  • GD&T experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
