Job Title: Radiation Therapist (Travel)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Salary: $80/hr - $2880/wk.

Overview:

Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Charlotte, NC is currently seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing radiation therapy to cancer patients in accordance with the physician’s prescription.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure the accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy to patients in accordance with the physician’s prescription.

- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment.

- Provide patient education regarding radiation therapy treatment and possible side-effects.

- Regularly assess and document patient progress, side-effects, and other pertinent information.

- Collaborate with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals in delivering radiation therapy treatments.

- Follow established protocols for radiation therapy and document treatment plans and activities accurately.

- Adhere to radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient treatment records.

- Participate in quality assurance and quality control procedures.

- Ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy, Radiologic Technology, or related field.

- Five or more years of experience as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical setting.

- Current certification in radiation therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

- Current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist.

- Knowledge of radiation therapy techniques, procedures, and equipment.

- Strong communication and patient education skills.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
