Job Description Works in partnership with clinical research manager and director to provide daily administrative oversight of the RADx Research program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, including fiscal, operational, and team management. Provides leadership, guidance, and planning for training needs of the RADx clinical research team working at various Children’s campuses. Oversees RADx device training and mentoring for clinical research personnel at all Children’s-affiliated research sites to ensure compliant conduct of research and adherence to Children’s research policies.

Experience
1 year of experience coordinating small or department programs
1 year of experience in a professional working environment

Preferred Qualifications
2 years of experience in clinical research with knowledge about the conduct of clinical trials, research principles, and methodologies/study design
1 year of working in healthcare setting
Experience with leading or managing a project
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a scientific field
Experience in biomedical clinical trial
Experience as Clinical Research Coordinator
Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) Certified Research Associate (CRA), Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), or comparable.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field

Certification Summary
May require valid Georgia driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of research principles and methodologies/study design
Broad knowledge of federal regulations and regulatory requirements for conducting research with the ability to mentor
Demonstrated experience in clinical research protocol creation and IRB submission preparation.
Demonstrated success in program management, including ability to multitask, balance multiple priorities, and work independently towards short- and long-term goals.
Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with groups or teams and employees at all levels within an organization.
Must possess excellent customer service and community partnership development skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Working knowledge of information systems, including PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, eIRB, CTMS, Epic, RedCap, and statistical software
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage productive relationships with physicians, researchers, and the community, including academic partners.

Job Responsibilities
1. Manages the day-to-day activities of the RADx project to include but not limited to staff scheduling, device deployment, equipment accountability and staff performance.
2. Collaborates with the Clinical Research Manager to provide program leadership for RADx clinical research team to include oversight of RADx Research Coordinators.
3. Provides oversight to activities and training at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to ensure compliant research conduct in all facilities where RADx staff is assigned.
4. Provides on-boarding for new employees joining the RADx team.
5. Trains RADx team on various research devices coming through the RADx validation program.
6. Provides oversight for data management activities and works closely with Quality/Data Coordinator.
7. Maintains all regulatory documentation for the RADx project including Institutional Review Board requirements for Continuing Renewals, Amendments, and any reporting requirements.
8. Maintains database for all licensure, certification, and system education requirements for role.
9. Collaborates with Clinical Research Manager to incorporate system initiatives into departmental practices.
10. Collaborates with RADx partners at Emory, Georgia Tech and NIH to ensure training and enrollment goals are met.
11. Partners with clinical research and financial operations managers to maintain RADx budget and complete financial tasks related to RADx funding sources.
12. Supports Children’s and academic partners with NIH reporting needs related to RADx project.
