Purpose

As a React Engineer, your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure in all phases of the software development lifecycle in a fast-paced agile setup.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience as a front-end developer in Agile scrum development team
• 2+ years of experience building interfaces in reactjs or similar JS Framework experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular JavaScript workflows (such as Flux or Redux or similar)
• Experience in type system for React such as Flow or Typescript or similar
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and test frameworks such as Jest or Jasmine
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
• Basic understanding of back-end technologies, such as java or python will be a plus
• Ability to work with browser offline storage capabilities will be a plus

C ore Accountabilities

Essential Functions:

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Develop new user-facing features using React.js
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimize components for high performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation
• Work collaboratively with UI/UX Designers, Product Owners and Architects to understand end user requirements to provide technical solutions and for the implementation of new software features
• Participate in feature grooming, provide inputs in design and perform story point estimation
