Kahala Brands, a globally recognized leader in quick-service restaurant franchising located in beautiful Scottsdale Arizona, currently has an opportunity for a Real Estate Manager to join the headquarters team. Kahala franchisees and partners operate a portfolio of over 28 quick-service restaurant brands including Cold Stone Creamery, Blimpie, TacoTime and Baja Fresh, among others, in over 20 countries around the world.

We seek a candidate who is detail oriented, a team player, willing to learn, and has a strong commercial real estate background. The main responsibilities would include assisting franchisees in finding quality locations and competitive rates in a timely fashion while meeting the brand standards for each concept.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Researches and manages market strategy in connection with new store development and/or relocations.
- Develops a network of commercial real estate brokers and manages site selection for new store development.
- Develops and maintains relationships with franchisees to ensure a timely identification of sites and the following of internal processes and systems.
- Proactively identifies sites in target markets and provides information to development team to enable the unification of franchisee with site.
- Provides education and support to franchisees to enable them to identify better sites, sooner and at better rates.
- Packages and presents prospective development sites to Site Approval Committee for review and authorization.
- Coordinates the site development or tenant improvement construction process with members of the Construction Department
- Assists in executing any special Company projects requiring the expertise of the real estate department.
- Builds strong working relationships with other departments outside real estate (Franchise Dev, Legal, Construction).
- Conducts portfolio reviews with major developers to market the Kahala Brands concepts.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
- 5+ years of successful commercial real estate experience; restaurant leasing experience preferred.
- Previous experience working and succeeding with franchisees required.
- Current network of Brokers throughout the United States
- Strong ability to negotiate contracts and leases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentations skills, and strong relationship skills.
- Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate information to make decisions, solve problems and achieve goals.
- High level of attention to detail and good time management.
