Yard Truck Specialists is an industry-leading truck dealership that specializes in the selling, leasing, refurbishing, and servicing of yard jockey trucks and parts. We sell, lease, rent, repair, and service yard spotters across the mid-Atlantic region. We also happen to lead the nation among all Kalmar-Ottawa Yard Truck dealers in equipment sales and part sales, so we know what it takes to be number one. We are a proud member of the H&K Equipment Group which has 11 locations throughout Pittsburgh, New Castle, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Allentown, York, Syracuse, and the New England market and currently employ over 350 people.

We are an established yard spotter truck dealership based outside of Philadelphia with a presence throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and Maryland. We are actively seeking a full-time Recruiter whose sole responsibility will be to identify and hire top talent for all of our locations and business entities. The ideal candidate will work directly with the Operations Manager at H&K as well as with department heads across all of the companies in filling their requests for open positions.

Examples of common job openings include but are not limited to: heavy equipment mechanics, parts counter people, service department support, accounting professionals, administrative and office professionals, general labor positions, sales professionals, and other skilled labor positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify talent through various online recruiting sites and direct-contact mediums
• Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
• Conduct prescreening interviews
• Develop a pipeline of qualified candidates for future needs
• Utilize creative and non-traditional recruiting methods
• Establish relationships with trade and vocational schools
• Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the applicant tracking system
• Perform reference and background checks for potential employees
• Perform other special projects as assigned
• Maintain client and candidate relationships

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years staffing/administrative experience preferred
• Comfortable with navigating various recruiter platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, ZipRecruiter, and Indeed
• Knowledgeable about the distribution/trucking/construction industry
• Must be able multitask and to work in a fast-paced environment
• Some travel to our various locations required
• Experience recruiting from the skilled trades preferred
