General Description
An exceptional opportunity is available for an accomplished and resourceful higher education professional in the Admissions department at Niagara County Community College. To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience utilizing and managing a CRM preferably Slate. In addition the successful candidate should possess excellent communication and organizational skills. This position reports directly to the Director of Admissions.

This position is responsible for the coordination and management of the CRM (Slate), recruitment territories and travel for admissions staff, international admissions, and all on-campus events; recruitment and admission of a small recruitment territory of prospective students through high school visits, outreach efforts and partnerships with community-based organizations; Local travel comprises approximately 5% of the position. Weekend and evening hours required during peak times.

Typical Work Activities
1. Assist the office of admissions in enhancing the Slate system, building new forms/apps/events, manage enrollment cycle prep, creation and management of portals, writing and managing queries and reports for office functions, crafting communication plans, automation rules, data integrity and clean up, and other needs within Slate.
2. Plan, develop and manage all integrations between Slate and other software and/or organizations. Internal integrations will be managed by partnering with OIT and ensuring data is flowing between Slate and Banner SIS, financial aid and other systems.
3. Oversee the international student admissions process for the college with the responsibility of being the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for the college.
4. Coordinate and plan all on-campus events and tours for the main campus. These include: open houses, major nights, CCI Day, and all other events run by the Admissions office.
5. Manage and coordinate the office of Admissions recruitment efforts in regards to travel planning and analyzing the effectiveness of recruitment travel events and visits.
6. Perform assigned duties to assist students in the following processes: admission, registration, advisement, financial resources, and other student support services.
7. Prepare and provide admission presentations to groups
8. Plan & implement recruitment activities for students from diverse backgrounds to include high school visits, business & industry, community-based organizations and other markets as assigned by supervisor
9. Serve on college committees as requested
10. Assist prospective students with the admissions process, including Excelsior scholarship advisement.
11. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.

Essential Functions
Must be able to relate to members of the administration, faculty, staff and student body; must be able to relate to multiple and diverse populations; must be able to coordinate numerous tasks and projects simultaneously; must be able to operate the student data base system; must be able to prepare and present reports; must be able to prepare and provide presentations to groups; must have capability to travel; must be able to work evenings and weekends as required; must be able to maintain a professional appearance.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ Degree;
  • Two years full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience working in a higher education setting;
  • Work experience that includes preparing and making presentations to groups;
  • Experience managing and working with a CRM. Valid driver’s license.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Student Personnel Administration/Higher Education or related field;
  • Experience in college admissions and/or recruitment of underrepresented students;
  • Three years full-time or equivalent part-time working in Enrollment Management; experience with Slate CRM, Banner student information system;
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Publisher.
