The Collier County Sheriff's Office is looking for positive, proactive, energetic, enthusiastic individuals that support our core principles of community, safety, service to fill the position of Redaction Specialist. Starting salary at $19.42 per hour.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to type 30 correct wpm.
• Minimum Wonderlic score of 18.
• Minimum OPAC score of 80%

Position Requirements:

• Operate necessary software for video editing.
• Computer edits video segments on a variety of formats.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including on call.
• Must be able to handle many variables including meeting short deadlines and responding quickly to breaking crime-related news.
• Ability to interpret and apply division policies, procedures, rules and state statutes related to public records law.
• Ability to apply public records laws to media and document redaction.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Responsible for most public records request for body camera footage.
• Knowledge of video editing.
• Knowledge of and experience using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop.
• Ability to work independently.
• Technical knowledge.
• Knowledge of public records law.
• Knowledge of guidelines to effectively deal with the release or non-release of information on requests.
• Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
• Record maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of computerized editing applications and procedures.
• Knowledge of professional audio and/or video tape editing and post-production procedures, techniques and standards.
