North Country HealthCare is transforming healthcare for rural Arizona as a Federally Qualified Health Center and Teaching Health Center. We provide Primary Care, Dental, Physical Therapy, and Behavioral Health services to the under-served population across 12 communities in northern Arizona. This position covers the Eastern region of Northern Arizona.
General Description of Job:
Under the direction of the COO oversee the clinic operations for the facilities in the designated region of North Country. Responsible for management and supervision of all clinic operations and personnel, coordination of clinical staff, health, education, clinical-related regulatory compliance, and development and implementation of new services and programs. Works to develop internal and external relations to enhance patient care and physician services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide training, direction and support to clinic managers in all operational aspects. To include organization Policies and Procedures and all other daily operational activities needed to perform the job.
- Collaborate on creation of Operational Policies and Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and workflows to create standardization across operational staff in all locations.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance by all locations within the responsible region for all state and federal agencies as they apply to medical care and organizational operations. Perform quarterly or as needed on-site mock inspections to ensure compliance from each compliancy group.
- Update as needed materials associated with compliance for state and federal inspections. Maintain mastery level knowledge of Arizona Department of Health Services regulations as they related to community health centers.
- Design, encourage, support, and inspire staff in the pursuit and development of new ideas and ways of improving services and delivery methods. Support and encourage organizational process improvements.
- Serve as the first contact for clinic managers. Provide leadership and direction to create an open and collaborative culture across assigned Region, and provide unity and connection to other Regions and Corporate office.
- Fill in for clinic managers as needed and/or as directed by the Chief Operations Officer.
- Plan, direct, manage, and evaluate staff and operations within clinic departments. Provide leadership and direct oversight to clinic managers to promote the efficient use of staff, resources and medical supplies and encourage opportunities to decrease operational costs and increase revenue.
- Encourage and lead employee growth and development by sourcing and vetting appropriate trainings for operations staff on topics of leadership development, customer service, de-escalation and other areas as appropriate.
- Participate in the establishment of strategic planning, resource allocation, operational plans and policies. Oversee and direct creation and adjustment to operational budgets annually. Ensuring compliance with organizational budgets and fiscal responsibility.
- Responsible for overseeing clean, safe, and welcoming facilities. Coordinate facility/equipment maintenance, improvements, repairs, and expansions working closely with facilities.
- Interact with outside healthcare organizations, hospitals, physician clinics and community organizations to develop community relationships.
- Review and participate in selection of vendors and contracts as needed when new services or vendors are needed.
- Participate in organizational level committees and workgroups, representing the operations team with a collaborative mindset with other department and teams while reporting back appropriately to the Chief Operations Officer and Senior Operations Manager on a regular basis.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 7 Years experience and/or training
- 5 Years related Management experience
