The Position
The Regional Operations Director will be an integral member of the Operations team and collaborate closely with all departments within CareVet. This individual will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Our ideal candidate is an experienced leader with multi-site management experience, preferably in a veterinary setting. Specific Responsibilities
  • Full accountability for a region of CareVet Hospitals
  • Oversee financial, P&L, and budget management
  • Diagnose particular areas of challenge and opportunity in each hospital
  • Continuously implement and improve our operating playbooks in order to achieve both operational and enterprise goals
  • Lead and implement Special Projects that could require both regional and/or national deployment and adoption
  • Work in partnership with functional groups to successfully integrate newly acquired hospitals into your region
  • Arrange facility updates, building repair & maintenance, capital improvement projects, etc. with the hospital leadership and HQ teams
  • In cooperation with COAST, Operations and Client Experience Captain, strive to ensure positive client experience (client satisfaction, new client acquisition)
  • Collaborate with People & Culture team on all aspects of Team Member support and management, including but not limited to hiring, offboarding, talent development, recruiting, performance management, and employee relations
  • Coordinate with Business Development to evaluate hospitals during the LOI stage and prepare them for smooth integration into the CareVet network
  • This role will require 25-50% travel and remote work when not traveling.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in an operational management role, including at minimum 2 years supporting multiple locations, preferably in a veterinary setting
  • Detailed knowledge of P&L statements and how to improve an individual location’s financial performance
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Supportive of a team-based culture
  • Comfortable collaborating with a large team but does not shy away from making independent decisions with the best interest of the company in mind
  • Residence in a major metropolitan area in one of the following states is required: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, or Indiana
