Sheakley Workforce Management Services is currently seeking a Regional Safety Manager for a position in Stratton, OH. Our client is one of the nation's leading industrial contractors and equipment fabricator firms.

Full-time direct hire opportunity with our client. Requires someone with fossil fuel/powerhouse experience. Good speaker, trainer, and PowerPoint presenter.

Minimum of OSHA 30 but ideally CHST and well versed.

200 miles radius visiting Pittsburgh region sites

The employee will be paid hourly

Overtime required 20 -26 weeks a year

Position: Regional Safety Manager

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Direct Report: Director of Safety

Department: Eastern Region

Position Description:

The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for oversight of the safety program for the Pittsburgh construction and maintenance office.

Core Responsibilities: Safety

  • Staffing: Ensure the region(s) is staffed with quality SME's that meet site requirements and adhere to cost structure.
  • Training: Determine training methods and ensure the proper delivery of safety-related training. Provide direct training as required to sites and direct reports. Assist in the development of corporate training needs and programs.
  • Communication: Share safety information across the responsible area(s) including updates of programs, changes in regulatory requirements, and training/learning opportunities.
  • Compliance: Ensure the organization is compliant with all regulatory safety requirements.
  • Tooling and Equipment: Ensure proper tooling and equipment for safe execution are identified, communicated, and means are established to acquire.
  • Customer Interface: Establish relationships with safety personnel of customers in the assigned area(s).

Line Item Responsibilities:

  • Complete iAuditor audits, and provide training as needed in the assigned area(s).
  • Ensure all incidents in the assigned area(s) are reported and investigated.
  • Staff sites with safety personnel and evaluate personnel performance.
  • Provide site-specific safety plans as required in the assigned area(s).
  • Establish vendor relationships required for compliance and training.
  • Provide safety management and insight for projects as workload and staffing dictate, including being on a project as the site lead.
  • Complete post-incident briefs as directed.
  • Ensure all sampling and medical records are properly kept.
  • Establish relationships with medical facilities and providers to reach positive outcomes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year (Based on skills, experience, and certifications)
