Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Regulatory Permit Specialist to support permit efforts for hydrogen infrastructure projects. Applicant must be willing to work on a 5-day work week.

  • Acts as in-house permitting/regulatory/code expert to guide Hydrogen infrastructure installation activities
  • Deals with multiple permitting authorities including but not limited to Environmental, construction, zoning, planning, utilities, hydrogen, etc.
  • Ensures that permits are acquired correctly and promptly
  • Communicates directly with the client regarding agreement language, compensation, insurance requirements, bonds, and long lead items.
  • Collaborates and communicates with all the permitting authorities for each project's respective locations
  • Participates in the permit project start-up meetings and ensures an absolute understanding of all topics discussed
  • Completes all necessary paperwork
  • Research ownership for permitting pathways
  • Negotiates and acquires necessary consultants as needed for support on permitting needs
  • Works directly with the project manager, project engineers, and surveyors to receive the necessary documents such as calculations, and exhibits.
  • Supports surveying, drilling, and recording phases, making sure permit stipulations are followed, and addressing problems as the issues arise
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Job Requirements: *Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent to a four-year degree is preferred. Oil & Gas industry experience is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years' relative experience is preferred.
  • Experience in working with permitting authorities on Oil & Gas infrastructure projects
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledgeable about engineering drawings, process diagrams
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with the manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.

Required Education:

  • 4-year STEM degree.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum eight (5) years of experience working in the project management field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working as a permitting liaison/project manager or other supervisory role, supporting $500,000 plus projects.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Required Certifications/Licenses/Testing/Training:

  • Possess a valid state or federal ID.
  • Ability to pass a background check of past 10 years
