Job Description: The Reidsville Mechanic 3 position is to ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems and production machines as scheduled, following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications. Complete corrective maintenance in timely safe manner to ensure plant operates efficiently.

We now offer new competitive hourly rates starting at $23.50 with top pay up to $23.50. In addition, our updated enhanced shift premiums $1.00 for 12 hour night shifts.

We do! We now offer full and part time 12 hour shifts and 12 hour weekend schedules.

Are you qualified for the position?

• Previous material handling experience a plus, but not required
• Ability to be able to be able to bend, stand, walk, lift, and reach frequently throughout shift
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts regularly and/or every weekend
• Hand and Eye coordination
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally

Job Purpose: The maintenance technician to ensure the smooth operation of the machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform regular services and maintenance procedures and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.

Main Tasks:

• Performs preventative maintenance duties on the production equipment as needed to assure that down time is kept to a minimum.
• Perform PM and CM as required in schedules
• Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance
• Perform repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric and hydraulic.
• Identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner
• Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery
• Use variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions
• Maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery
• Observe and follow all company safety rules and regulations
• Training others

Teamwork and Communication:

• The maintenance tech will work with the Maintenance Manager, machine operator and engineers to ensure the machines are performing at standards.

Educational requirements: The Maintenance Technician must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED.

Prior experience: The Maintenance Technician must have two years related experience.

Technical skills: The Mechanic 3 position must have mechanical and computer skills. They must be technically-inclined and be able to properly utilize tools and machinery.

Physical Requirements: The ability and willingness to perform light to moderate lifting of raw materials and machine components up to 55 lbs. The ability and willingness to stand 100% of time and walk in the production facility. Adequate hand and finger coordination to manipulate small parts. Adequate vision and color perception. Minor stooping, bending, sitting, reaching and crouching as needed to inspect finished product and materials.
