Position Summary:

Will lead the transformation of business functional requirements into technical solutions as well as provide 2nd and 3rd level tier support for the organization’s core systems. Perform technical analysis, design, development/unit testing, debugging, and implementation of process and technology for new or existing business applications.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Own the technical analysis, design, development (including unit testing, debugging, and root cause analysis), and deployment of new and/or existing business applications and software.

• Development will be on the IBM iSeries platform (RPG based).

• Lead IBM iSeries scheduled job monitoring and support.

• Lead code migration across environments and technical cutover and deployment activities.

• Partner with IT Service Center and business on support issues with high degree of responsiveness and resolution.

• Provide technical expertise when evaluating and designing solutions ensuring all components and subsystems impacted are properly addressed during business application build and deployment.

• Oversee and provide technical analysis and design expertise during development of business applications.

• Create test cases and assist in technical and end-user testing. May be required to help deploy solutions.

• Document functional designs and technical processes.

• Collaborate and coordinate with the business and all areas within the IT function.

• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3-4+ years of related experience OR High School Diploma and 6+ years of related experience.

• Experience with technical development on the IBM iSeries (AS/400).

• Experience coding, debugging, and compiling programs using IBM Rational Developer for I.

• Able to code in CL, and RPG including reading RPG fixed format, and coding in RPG IV free format with embedded SQL, and strong understanding of RPG ILE concepts.

• Strong knowledge of IBM iSeries operating system including working with job logs, job ques, job descriptions, subsystems, printers, FTP, WRKJSCHDE (job scheduler), and advanced job scheduler.

• Strong knowledge of DB2 databases.

• Strong SQL development skills.

• Knowledge of SFTP.

• Understanding of information systems and business processes.

• Demonstrated interpersonal, teamwork and relationship building skills in order to work effectively and contribute to a team environment.

• Ability to effectively work with business users to ensure technical solution meets business requirements.

• Highly skilled in root cause analysis, debugging, and understanding technical data flows.

• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of related software development experience.

• Experience with VIP system (Vermont Information Processing).

• Experience with EDI transactions and ASNs.

• Experience developing RPG web APIs using YAJL/HTTPAPI open source.

• Experience with Concur, BlueYonder and High Radius.

• Experience with IBM iSeries support.

• Experience with DevOps methodology.

• Experience within the beverage distribution industry.
