Essential Functions
- Advance Stability, Interoperability, Regulatory and Voice of Customer for the business
- Develop and manage the operations for customer case prioritization, requirements, metrics and triage
- Derive and execute product improvements to meet customer needs, address internal needs
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and synthesize organizational goals and priorities, as it pertains to the respective product portfolio
- Gather insights from customer cases and implementation and turn these into structured inputs towards prioritization and roadmapping decisions
- Communicate product roadmaps both internally and externally
- Lead and mentor your team to lead customer needs discovery activities and translation of these findings into product requirements – e.g. development of epics, stories, story boards and mockups
- Maintain knowledge of industry regulatory trends and compliance as it relates to, but not limited to, certifications and internal organization training
- Work closely with internal compliance team to understand industry regulatory requirements and translating those requirements into epics and stories
- Communicate regulatory needs and changes to both internal and external stakeholders
- Track & monitor customer case status and identify both areas of concern and opportunities
- Be a part in building, improving and expanding the portfolio technology support and response
- Identify new opportunities, service improvements, and cost reductions
- Participate in pricing and costing analysis for new products, services and features
- Ensure quality standards are met for software requirements in story format (as in agile methodology) with proper acceptance criteria that meet the business requirements
- Resolve questions and provide clarifications raised by the engineering team during the development process
- Report roadmap status on a weekly basis
- Effectively manage risk. Be involved and aware of major milestones for each product initiative with ability to identify potential risks before they happen and guide team on mitigation
- Ensure a ranked backlog of new features, expressed in terms of epics and user stories, while prioritizing the needs of the product’s stakeholders
- Actively improve regular activities of an agile team, including sprint planning, inspection and acceptance/rejection of completed work
- Conduct internal and external validation
- Translate research discoveries into usable and marketable products
- Additional duties as assigned based on business need
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, with at least 5 years in a technically focused product leadership role focused on emerging technologies and/or interoperability within healthcare tech
- Creative problem solver with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Familiarity with major EHR systems, processes and data flows into and out of these EHR systems
- Demonstrated domain expertise in Healthcare interoperability and integration, including understanding of HL7, USCDI, and FHIR
- Team management and leadership talent, including a knack for unblocking projects and growing both senior and junior people
- Senior Experience working on an Agile and Scrum teams and familiarity with Agile tenets
- Ability to bring to surface and synthesize client needs and pain-points
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work across functional team in a collaborative manner
- Strategic thinker with ability to execute on day-to-day operational activities with clients and other functional areas
- Undergraduate degree
- Knowledge of industry regulatory trends and compliance as it relates to, but not limited to, certifications and internal organization training
- Able to travel to onsite work events and customer locations as well as industry events as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Specific Product Knowledge – in-depth knowledge of the entire product, not just the services that the Product Manager is responsible for, and therefore able demonstrate the entirety of the product without hesitation, as and when required
- Product Management Coach – a mentor to other product managers and able to coach them to in all aspects of product management, Agile/Scrum practices and demonstrated ability as a Jira super user
- Subject Matter Expertise – previously performed the roles of the relevant users of the product that the Product Manager is responsible for. Able to demonstrate experience in these respective roles and was performing with a high level of competence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Jira or other relevant software
- Exposure to working with ambulatory practices
