What You'll Do:
As the Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you will continually learn and handle the Picking, Packing, Shipping and Receiving functions, ensuring high-quality and efficiency each time.
Your Accountabilities In The Role:
Handles the shipping and receiving of various materials/products in an efficient and accurate way, following documented procedures.
Prints manufacturing orders daily and pulls raw materials to meet the manufacturing order, production requirements, and stages for manufacturing.
Performs visual inspections to confirm the count and quality of material and products being received or shipped to ensure integrity, count accuracy, and overall customer satisfaction.
Prepares and completes necessary paperwork and PC entries to ensure efficient, on-time receipt, delivery, transfers, and accurate inventory controls.
Communicates with vendors and appropriate employees to resolve issues and create efficiencies.
Audits, cleans, and organizes warehouse and inventory to maintain accurate counts and a safe and efficient work environment.
Position Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred. Will consider a combination of education and skill.
Experience: 1 month of warehouse and small to mid-size shipping and/or receiving experience in a production environment preferred. We Will train the right person!
Certification(s): Ability to be trained and certified to use a forklift and/or pallet jack. Prior forklift experience preferred, not required.
Functional Skills: Strong math & counting skills; detail-oriented, organized, precise, and accurate in their work. Able to read, comprehend, retain work instructions and complete paperwork. Able to input, inspect, and manage inventory controls and locations for various materials and products. Able to research inventory discrepancies. Has an understanding of FIFO and RMA processing. Able to prioritize and be flexible to move from job to job as priorities change.
Technology Aptitude/Skills: Excellent PC skills and able to use tablets/PCs to review procedures and enter data. Experience with UPS WorldShip preferred.
Language Skills: Able to read/write/speak English fluently; communicates in a positive way.
Leadership/Behaviors: Self-directed, highly-motivated, with the ability to be a good team player and work well with others; will provide collaboration, mentoring, training as needed to support the team.
Culture Match: Respectful of team members and policies, goal and customer-focused; has the ability to stay focused on quality, as well as being efficient to produce a high level of output on the job. Requires an excellent work ethic with the ability to learn and problem-solve.
