Remote Tutor/ Instructor Part-Time - up to 20 hours/week

Neuro-development of Words, LLC is urgently hiring exceptional online/remote Tutors/Instructors interested in joining a dynamic, caring and dedicated team that provides cutting-edge treatment services for children and young adults with learning challenges such as dyslexia, difficulty spelling, or retaining information.

The ideal, candidate will have a passion for empowering children; may have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Psychology, Sociology, Journalism, English, or Elementary Education (or similar), or a high school or college educator who is excited to make a lasting difference in our clients’ lives.

The Neuro-development of Words, LLC methodology is based on the latest scientific research regarding neural plasticity (efficient, long-lasting learning). Our methodology is research- and evidence-based and peer-reviewed. Our programs address reading and spelling, comprehension, writing and math.

The demand for online tutors has exploded and the NOW! Programs is excited to add more Tutor/Instructor staff to meet that demand.

Applicants must be available:

- at least 4 hours/day, M - F

- between the hours of 4 pm and 9 pm Eastern (available times do NOT need to be consecutive but must start at the top of the hour, e.g., 4 pm, 5pm, 6pm, and so on)

- at the SAME TIME EACH DAY (no exceptions)

Applicants must attend all of the following online, live, interactive and paid training activities:

a. Attend Stage 1 Training: DAILY June 5th thru 9th, Times 9am-12noon EST

b. Observe and/or accept student assignments: June 12th thru16th DAILY, AT LEAST 2 HOURS BETWEEN 4pm-9pm EST

c. Attend Stage 2 Training: DAILY June 19th thru 21st, 9am-12 noon EST

d. Attend Stage 3 Training: DAILY July 24th thru 26th, 9am-12 noon EST

e. Attend Stage 4 Training: DAILY August 21st thru 23rd Times TBD

Instructors must be present for all training days in a Stage to receive compensation for that Stage. Training time is paid after 90 days of service. Additionally, applicants must be interested and available for immediate and ongoing contract work following training.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Instruct students in a 1:1 or small group (up to 1:4) online setting using pre-designed NOW! Programs material
• Complete behavior and attention sheet for client after each session
• Update progress flow charts daily

(No need to worry about scheduling students, collecting payments, or parent communication. We take care of that.)

Applicants must:

Successfully complete ALL of NOW! Programs paid 4-stage online/live instructor training. (New student assignments are typically made within 14 days of hire.)

• Successfully complete online, self-led tech training
• Upon request, submit to a background check conducted by or on behalf of the Company
• Have reliable high-speed internet connection
• Possess a desktop or laptop computer in order to provide eTutoring services. Windows and Apple are supported. (iPads, Kindles, Chromebooks and other tablet devices will not suffice.)
• Possess working web camera, headphones with a microphone and a mouse in order to interact with students in our online workspace. (Trackpads and touchscreens are not sufficient.)
