Job description
  • Monitors and provides coverage for the customer service window.
  • Answers Rep Payee Help Line and directs questions to appropriate colleagues.
  • Files all checks printed in the appropriate client files. Records, scans and monitors scanned files.
  • Maintains and up-dates client files. Provides Expenditure Reports for Staff and Clients.
  • Maintains and monitors forms for the Rep Payee office.
  • Completes all necessary filing associated with the Rep Payee office on a timely basis.
  • Receives, stamps, sorts and distributes incoming mail.
  • Completes other duties and projects as assigned by the Representative Payee Manager.
  • Cross trains for other Rep Payee positions.
  • A commitment to providing services within an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with a wide variety of people.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Helps to resolve financial / budgetary problems faced by beneficiaries.
  • Supports agency efforts to ensure that agency and regulatory standards are met and maintained, including agency SSA audits, CARF, State agency licensing, and other reviews.
  • Ability to function under pressure in a fast-paced human service environment.
  • Ability to articulate and communicate Bay Cove's mission in a consistent and enthusiastic manner.
  • High School diploma Some Collage preferred.
  • At lease one year working with non profit.
  • Two to three years of experience working as a receptionist.
  • Some knowledge of and or experience with populations with chronic mental illness, developmental disabilities or substance abuse.
  • Strong attention to detail, oral communication skills, and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to be cooperative and resolve differences.
  • Able to problem solve financial issues with individuals with and empathetic, creative and flexible attitude at all times.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting software programs.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • An acceptable CORI (criminal record assessment).
  • Must be able to attend required orientation and training at various locations, including in-service training, conferences and seminars within the indicated timelines and achieves satisfactory competency.
  • A COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of the position. One COVID-19 shot is acceptable, contingent on the individual receiving the second shot within the allotted time frame.
