Reservations Agent, Part Time
Rate of Pay: $21.94/hour
Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii... Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel currently has an opening for a talented Part Time Reservations Agent to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.
Brief Summary of Job: Responsible for responsible for maximizing room revenue and occupancy as directed by the Front Office Manager while providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner by following Marriott standards of hospitality and adhering to guidelines and procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
____ Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing
personalized service to guests.
____ Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
____ Handle Reservations Calls for Hotel, ensuring consistent quality and customer service.
____Process all future reservations, modifications of future reservations and cancellations through our system.
____Provides individual, dedicated reservations assistance via the hotel(s) primary reservation telephone line for guest inquiries.
____ Anticipate and respond to guest needs.
____ Demonstrate a commitment to upsell and promote Hotel features during reservations process.
____Responsible for processing credit card and advance deposit payments for regularly scheduled reservation billing arrangements.
____Processes no-show and cancelled room reservations charges as needed.
____Manage multiple extranet requests for wholesale reservation inquiries/research.
____Assist with other general departmental requests that include correspondence with guests via email and other requests for property information.
____Processes daily reporting and set up hotel on-property team by inputting messaging, blocking guest requests, and ensure all hotel guest needs are effectively communicated to the hotel operations team.
____ Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, check daily event sheet, bulletin boards and be up to date with all changes, new procedures and events.
____ Have knowledge about room rates, packages, discounts and promotions and know how to handle each.
____Maintain and understand special guest programs and franchise related programs.
____ Find solutions quickly, and confidently address and resolve guest concerns.
____ Assist the Sales Team with client reservations and special requests
____ Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best
overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
____ Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Proficient in Microsoft applications. One (1) year experience reservations experience preferred. Ability to speak multiple languages preferred. Fosse knowledge preferred. Ability to operate a computerized reservation system (Fosse). High school or equivalent education.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: English speaking or bilingual. Ability to make timely, effective decisions. Ability to prioritize, organize and complete work assignments. Ability to maintain good team member relations. Ability to develop and maintain effective guest relations. Ability to provide effective communications, both verbal and written. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Strong problem solving ability. Strong attention to detail. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Dependable.
