Goodwill of SIlicon Valley is hiring a Part-time Donor Greeter for our Silver Creek Store!

M*ajor Responsibilities: *

• Greet all Donors within 10 seconds of arrival
• Accepts donations from customers, provide receipt and thank donor
• Provides excellent customer service
• Depending on store procedures, sorts and arranges donations in bins to go to various sorting areas of store
• Loads and unloads company trucks and trailers
• Tests electrical donations to determine working condition
• Maintains appearance of donation areas.
• Accurately tracks quantity of donation during shift
• Properly loads and prepares trucks for pick up by transportation
• Follows and enforces all company procedures.

Performs other duties as requested.

Aptitudes/skills/temperament:

• Ability to coordinate hand-eye-foot movement to safely maneuver/handle equipment and lift/stack donations.
• Ability to understand English, accept directions and follow procedures
• Ability to perform routine work, adapting to change as it relates to work flow.
• Ability to maintain self-control and work in cooperation with co-workers.
• Ability to examine items and visually differentiating between them based on quality standards.
• Ability to meet and maintain established standards: sort 1 cart in 20-30 minutes, sort 7-10 barrels of books in one hour, sort 9-12 barrels of hard sort barrels in one hour.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
