Job description

Inspect the exercise yard for contraband and ensure fences, braces and tie downs etc. are secured and intact.
Ensure all inmates scheduled for recreation periods have been strip searched before being removed from their cells.
Ensure all inmates have been placed in proper restraints and escorted as designated by their security detention level, prior to removal from their cells.
Other duties as assigned.

- 12 months experience in corrections or law enforcement.
- Incumbent must satisfactorily complete all academics and on the job training by the S.C. Department of Corrections as specified.
- Must have completed Defensive Driving Training and cannot be on the “No Drive List and or the No Draw List” with SCDC.
- Must be certified within 6 months of employment.
