Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Informaticist is responsible for supporting the implementation of, and providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the electronic health record and other clinically related technologies. She/he is responsible for coordination, support, and completion of project assessments, project advancements, parameter settings, workflow mapping, tools, and resources focused on Clinical Informatics’ initiatives including but not limited to provider order entry and documentation, standard clinical documentation, Meaningful Use, and other technology that supports clinician workflow. The clinical informaticist will participate in the company-wide community of Informatics by working with director of clinical informatics and facility peers to ensure clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility.

SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Understands pertinent regulatory guidelines such as Joint Commission, HIPAA, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated customer orientation.
  • Excellent leadership and teaching abilities.
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets and data analysis experience).
  • An understanding, enthusiasm and commitment to the goals of the project.
  • Leadership skills to direct others and maintain a common vision for project objectives.
  • Must be a motivator.
  • The ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the practice, as well as with vendors and other outside agents. Must have an interdisciplinary focus.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • The ability to delegate tasks and enlist the cooperation and/or assistance of team members and others.

What qualifications you will need:


  • Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Clinical/Healthcare Informatics, clinical application support, or equivalent preferred; Meditech/Epic experience strongly preferred.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
