Job Summary:

The RT’s Market Retail Associate is responsible for processing all sales through cash, credit/debit and in house member charges, perform all duties within a scheduled shift including but not limited to inventory fulfillment, handling and minimal food prep and cleaning. Additionally, the retail associate will be responsible for closing sales reports and cash/credit slip processing at the end of the shift/day. Work closely with retail supervisor on all aspects of the day-to-day operations and perform all aspects of the salesperson responsibilities including any additional duties assigned by the supervisor or manager on duty.

Essential Functions:

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Operating a computer based register and secondary point of sale computer to close all transactions for cash, credit/debit and member transactions.
• Handling of cash transactions with accuracy.
• Ability to work at a moderate pace.
• Ability to multitask job duties when business is busy.
• Opening processes of store which include light prep of food and beverage items.
• Closing processes of store which include sales reports, cash reconciliation, member charges, credit/ debit slips reconciliation.
• Stocking and maintaining product on the sales floor.
• Working inside a walk-in cooler to stock and refill product.
• Pricing all merchandise on the floor.
• Cleaning hard surfaces, floors, windows as needed to maintain an aesthetically pleasing store both inside and in common areas outside.
• Ability to clearly communicate with members and guests professionally.

Qualifications:

• Retail or hospitality a plus.
• Strong emphasis in customer service.
• Must possess a positive attitude.
• Must be dependable and available to work on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, support departments, and members.
• Professional and personable demeanor.

  Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, climb stairs to fulfill tasks.
• Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
• Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to carry 35 lbs (wine cases, produce etc.)
• Valid driver’s license or reliable method of transportation to/from work.
• Excellent verbal and listening skills Vision ability at close range on a computer & point of sale screen.
