Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Safety Specialist for an opportunity in the Raleigh, NC area. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about safety and health, an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing, has good computer skills, and is self-directed. Must have Ash Pond and CCR experience. In addition, we are looking for someone who can fulfill the following criteria:
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Work with customer Environmental & Safety Staff to ensure safety requirements are being met by all subcontractors.
- Conduct daily formal safety audits of activities related to construction and Ash Ponds.
- Act as a technical safety advisor to the construction staff.
- Deliver site safety orientation, facilitate site safety meetings and provide technical safety training as appropriate.
- Complete regular, standardized reports detailing project safety status and report to Management.
- Maintain safety logs – file and track all site safety reports.
- Assist in external agency interactions (OSHA Inspectors, OSHA Log Management) as appropriate.
- Provide safety leadership for assigned project (s)
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of Environmental and Safety experience.
- Preferred experience in CCR
- Experience dealing with Ash Ponds
- Well-versed in written and verbal communication
