MacDermid Graphics Solutions is a supplier of consumable materials used to transfer images on to consumer packaging materials, our products are used to improve print quality and printing productivity. We produce and market photopolymers through an extensive line of flexographic plates that are used in the consumer packaging and printing industries. Job Purpose
The Sales Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with regionally important medium/large customers. Assigned to a specific geographic region the Sales Account Manager is responsible for achieving year-over-year revenue and margin growth targets for MGS Customers.
The Sales Account Manager represents the entire range of MGS products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.

Job Responsibilities
- Proactively leads a regional account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for current customers and targeted opportunities.
- Meets year-over-year assigned revenue and margin targets for profitable sales volume growth.
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
- Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
- Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must have experience or education within the flexo printing and packaging industry.
- Sales experience is not a requirement but an eagerness and openness to learn is a requirement.
- Experience in the printing, flexible packaging, CPG, folding carton/corrugated, and tags & labels markets is highly preferred.
- Experience selling technical solutions that involve flexible materials, materials sciences, supply chain management services, and/or chemicals and raw materials to the packaging industry is also a major plus but not required.
- You should be comfortable following a consistent team-based sales process and methodology for account management planning – where account planning horizons could span 2-4 years and new opportunity sales cycles could last 9-18 months depending on the size and duration of the contract.
- You must be a high-energy, high-character, entrepreneurial sales professional attitude with an unwavering commitment to excellence for yourself, the customer and your employer. Professional image along with extraordinary organization, leadership, communication, and presentation skills are a must.
- You must be passionate, self-starting and resourceful with a willingness to work as a part of a small, growing team. This is a fast-paced industry and environment; therefore, you must be self-managed and adaptable to change and growth.
- You must be assertive with exceptional relationship and networking skills. You must have an executive presence and be politically savvy to expand relationships to upper and senior-level management within our customers.
- You must be detail-oriented and highly skilled at the Microsoft Office suite of tools. You must be very comfortable working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce.com daily.
- The position requires you to have experience working in a virtual environment – usually out of your own established home office.
- You must be willing to devote at least 50% or more of your time to traveling to your accounts – significant travel is required; TX, OH, IL, WI.
