Job description
Hilton Garden Inn Overland Park is searching for a Sales Coordinator to join their team! Previous hotel experience preferred but not required.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for generating top line revenue for hotel & meeting space by securing new accounts; maintaining existing accounts and executing sales strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining guest satisfaction. The Sales Coordinator needs to have excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Director of Sales/General Manager
Supervises: N/A
Interfaces with: Clients, Employees, Director of Sales and Vendors.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Responsible for completing weekly sales goals to ensure sales revenue goals and personal goals are met and printing them out weekly.
Responsible for completing Quarterly action plans to ensure sales revenue goals and personal goals are met.
Maintain existing client accounts by executing functions successfully and following up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Actively sell meeting rooms and appropriate food and beverage to ensure sales goals are being met.
Be the initial contact for clientele regarding all bookings with meeting space.
Responsible for responding to all inquiring clients within 24 hours of initial contact and answering all questions regarding hotel services and amenities.
Create and revise room layouts for each event.
Ability set up and execute all events; including setting tables and chairs, buffet set up, etc.
Set up and test Audio Visual equipment, and any special requests(ie: nametags, place cards, gift bags, etc.)
Present Food and Beverage in an aesthetically pleasing way, always following Food Safety Guidelines.
Appropriately manage time and direct staff to orchestrate successful functions.
Assists in representing hotel, when necessary, to local communities through affiliation with professional business organizations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma Required
Previous Sales experience is preferred.
Computer Skills Necessary.
Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading skills, and speaking.
Excellent organization skills and interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and clients.
Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
