Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Achieve Sales Target established with the Sales Manager (SM) or Regional Director (RD)
  • Profitability: Achieve Profit Target agreed with the SM or RD.
  • Achieve KPI sales targets established in collaboration with the
  • Track, monitor and work to improve project/sales win rate?
  • Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new strategic customers with the focus being Total Customer Satisfaction and Generation of Projects for Sales Growth.
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to our customers program expectations.
  • Responsible for all program specific communication to respective customers
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship on key accounts through supply chain to OE
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics while providing market feedback to the team
  • Identify, research, and contact prospective target growth customers that will generate future sales and repeat business.
  • Promote standard products, and custom engineered products where needed. Be a total solution provider.
  • Develop long term and short term strategic plans for key customers and growth customers.
  • Quote new opportunities as needed.
  • Assist in quality related issues as needed.
  • Provide innovative solutions and continuous improvements to internal and external customers.
  • Assist with high urgency requests as needed
  • Work with the right sense of urgency: Response times, flexibility and accuracy.
  • Support personnel throughout the organization

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven automotive OEM account management, sales, or engineering experience required
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Work experience with braking systems and NVH strongly preferred
  • Strong Technical aptitude beneficial. Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to read and understand technical prints preferred
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license

Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at the same time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills

Travel:

  • 50% travel in the metro-Detroit area
  • Domestic travel to customers and meetings may be required periodically
  • International trips as needed (typically 2 times / year)
