Overview:
The Social Media Coordinator will be located at The JW Marriott Turnberry. Responsibilities:

The Social Media & PR Coordinator is responsible for working side-by-side with the Assistant Director of Public Relations and Social Media Manager. The role will assist with all aspects of the company’s social media, from driving community engagement and brand loyalty through social campaigns.
The Social Media Coordinator will be located at The JW Marriott Turnberry.
Examples of Duties
, includes but is not limited to the following
:
- Assist the assistant director of public relations with press inquries, quarterly press reports, updating press kit, coordinating media visits, writing/editing press & marketing materials, regularly engaging with media.
- Prepare journalist reservations and itineraries in coordination with the VIP Services team, restaurant General Managers, spa and Recreations team.
- Ensure venues are open and in top shape prior to property tours and photo/video shoots.
- Track all incoming media requests and assist to qualify and approve.
- Handle inquiries for film shoots, PR events and opportunities and work with Assistant Director to communicate with other departments and develop action plan for shoots/events.
- Responsible for supporting the social media manager in everyday initiatives relating to Fontainebleau’s social channels; help with content creation, image selection, copywriting and reporting.
- Further develop creative, thoughtful and visual content to incorporate on social channels, including campaigns, contests and photos/videos to increase visibility to Fontainebleau.
- Work with external agency and Social Media Manager to manage social media calendars and communicate brand wide promotions to generate day-to-day content and larger initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong familiarity of social media platforms, including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Google+ and more.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Understands hospitality and general travel industry standards.
- Ability to work in a high-paced work environment, handling multiple initiatives and tasks simultaneously all while being detail-oriented.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field.
- Minimum 2 years Public Relations/Marketing/Communications experience.
