Our client is hiring a Business Development Representative for our Indianapolis, IN office to join the team and hit the ground running.
The Business Development Representative will be actively prospecting new customers while maintaining the current customers.
Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating relationships with customers by becoming a trusted expert in all their extrusion plastics needs.
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for developing and maintaining a book of business by building prospects, generating potential leads and cold-calling in a competitive, fast-paced industry.
The Business Development Representative should be looking for the challenge of bringing in new customers and maintaining current customers by providing excellent customer service.
What will you do as a Business Development Representative?
- Research and contact potential customers to help continue to grow one’s customer base
- Generate new sales leads through networking, cold calling to build and maintain relationships
- Maintain and expand your database of prospects
- Become an expert on plastic extrusion ; display a deep understanding of its functionality, features, and impact for potential and established customers and be able to leverage it to add value to your portfolio
- Educate customers on the benefits of plastic extrusion and all services offered by the client.
- Coordinate with office staff, management and the customer to implement the customer's solution, including participation in onboarding
What are the qualifications of the Business Development Representative?
- Bachelor’s degree highly desired but not required. Comparable work history may be substituted for education.
- 3-5 years of previous sales experience in plastic extrusion is preferred.
- Proven past success in managing relationships with business partners.
- Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives.
- High energy level to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills
- Ability to work independently and remain on-task with minimal supervision
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $183,140.94 per year
